If you feel like your shots are  feeling &#8220;flat&#8221; like hitting a board, it might be time to bring your tension down and work on your technique. Every string has its&#8217; unique properties, and every single one will have a different feel on court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><br><em>Thinner strings will <strong>&#8220;pop&#8221;<\/strong> more in both sound and feel, but are <strong>easier to break<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><em>Thicker strings are <strong>more durable<\/strong> overall, but won&#8217;t have the same pronounced sound or feel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><em>Strings with more &#8220;texture&#8221; will allow for more control such as slicing at the net or dropping shots.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:clamp(0.875rem, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 0.2rem) * 0.542), 1.2rem);\">Everyone has different preferences when it comes to how they want their racket to &#8220;feel&#8221; on the court. If you are consistently hitting off centre into the sides or even worse, the upper 12&#8242; o clock section of your racket, you may notice the row of grommets start to chip, crack, or form sharp edges. This further increases the chances of mishitting and breaking your string.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(0.875rem, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 0.2rem) * 0.542), 1.2rem);\">The most common type of mishit is through hitting the shuttle at the upper unsupported 12&#8242; o clock area.
